¡Cinco de Mayo!

What began as a commeration of the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture, heritage, food, and of course - Tequila!

We at Claude Lakey have a favorite Tequila, and it's the sax-heavy sound of The Champs' 1958 #1 hit song:

(Looks like Dick Clark aka "America's Teenager" may have *actually* been a teenager in this clip!)

Fun Fact: During this era of television, most if not all "live" performances were pre-recorded before airing, but a careful viewer can see that The Champs are actually playing their instruments live on stage.
