Today is the birthday of the late, great saxophonist, composer, and jazz legend Oliver Nelson! 

Nelson was one of the most prolific collaborators in Jazz as a saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He worked with Cannonball Adderly, Wes Montgomery, Etta Jones, Jimmy Smith, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Quincy Jones just to name a few.
